I got a new job! It’s one I’ve been wanting for a long, long time — zero contact with the public (I am BURNT OUT), jeans and T-shirt uniform, straight Monday through Friday, good pay, good benefits (I’m finally going to have health insurance!) and it’s in an industry I’m interested in (the printing industry.) I start tomorrow!
This is the job I’ve been praying for and God led me right to it! I’m so, so relieved. I really disliked my last job and was convinced I would be doomed to working in customer service forever but that was not to be.

It may be the Devil – or it may be the Lord – but you’re gonna have to SERVE somebody (serve somebodeeeee) – Robert Zimmerman.
DOOMED! We’re all DOOMED! (one of the Lilliputians from Gulliver’s Travels (Animated Version)) :-)
JC called us out – we all have to serve :-)
You’re entitled to a change (it’s proverbially as good as a rest) from time to time though – He knows that!
Is that a Highland Terrier in your pic?? Anyone you know?

I know I need to serve but I don’t think I can be a service worker anymore, if you know what I mean. Although I might wander back into that sphere someday for now I need the break!
Outside of a work context I love the public and wish wholeheartedly to serve in whatever way I can. My burnout is preventing me from serving “from the heart” as far as my job goes though. I suppose I could have seen it as a test of some sort — see if I could break through and transform my bitterness into something else but I had to give myself a rest for a while. Hopefully God understands that and as you say I really think he does. :)

Oops! Forgot to mention — the dog in my picture is my own little ball of fluff, Annie. She has terrier in her but not Westie as far as I know. Our vet seems to think she has a bit of Wheaton in her. Her mother looked like a terrier/sheepdog mix and her father looked like a small black lap/pointer mix of some sort. She was the result of an illicit affair between two mutts who lived next door to one another!

Completely Understand the burn-out – left the public service after 10 and a half years for similar reasons.
And those Photo’s are Adorable!
Did you see my post on Top Ten Dogs yet?
